How does a COBRA feature work on my Disability Insurance Plan?

This video discusses the ancillary feature that is available on the Ameritas disability insurance contract. It allows for a person to collect above the monthly benefits as a reimbursement to cover the costs of COBRA medical coverage. This reimbursement goes up to $1,000 a month, beginning with the first premium due after you satisfy the waiting period, also known as the elimination period.

The carrier doesn’t cover more than 100% of the COBRA premium expense.

This is an interesting feature so we wanted to share this with you!
