Time for a Semi-Annual Check Up

Like to discuss this further?

Can you believe it? It seems like just yesterday we were watching the ball drop on New Year’s Eve and now Independence Day has already come and gone.

Being that we are half way through 2016, have you had your disability insurance policy reviewed recently?

In most cases, this review does not mean you need to get rid of your current policy. Many older physician disability insurance policies were written with liberal provisions benefiting the policyholder, like higher benefit amounts, strong definitions of disability, and guaranteed premiums. In these cases, a review based on your current life situation may just highlight a need for more coverage.

In some cases, a review could be a little more eye-opening, and reveal weak definitions of disability or increasing premiums. It may be beneficial in these situations to get stronger protection.

Ryan Poindexter wrote a blog post not too long ago that explains more of the benefits of keeping a good policy already in place but making sure it meets your needs for today. He also explains if there are penalties to having more than one disability policy. Click here to ready his post, “Is Your Old Physician Disability Policy Still Good Today?”

Before the rest of the year slips away from us, contact your agent today so they may perform a comprehensive “check-up” of your insurance policies.

We are here to help.
