With all that is going on with COVID-19 here in the first quarter of 2020, Principal just released an encouraging notice regarding their maximum issue limit. They state:
Securing a proper level of income protection for highly compensated clients can be a challenge. A standard $20,000 maximum issue limit could leave a physician searching for additional coverage from a second carrier, meaning more paperwork, more time, and more hassle.
Effective March 12, 2020, as a pilot program for year 2020, we are pleased to announce our new expanded maximum issue limit program that allows qualifying insureds to get individual disability coverage from Principal® with up to a $35,000 monthly benefit. This program enables clients to get the coverage they need from a single source with a better customer experience.
